Fest Film Kosova as a Travelling Festival. Interview with Besim Ajeti
Abstract
Film festivals are a unique opportunity for Kosovo to gather in one place an international community of experts, producers, distributors, filmmakers. The notion of mobility, that may be literally addressed, as some festivals are itinerant. Fest Film Kosova (2003 - today), now at its 8th edition, is one of the most important festivals in the area, and is itinerant. It is held in a different city each year. The intents are: firstly, to reach the young people and unknown artists; second, to reach the neighbors countries and cities, to distribute films as wide as possible; and third, to promote the Kosovar culture, history, art, and to support ethnic minorities.
The interview with Besim Ajeti, director and founder of Fest Film Kosova, reveals the educational, political and cultural values of film festivals in Kosovo.
